We arrived a bit late, so we only caught We Are Scientists and KOL. Nonetheless it was a perfect show! I was at the very back when we first got there, but I have a new theory now that the shorter you are the easier it is for you to maneuver yourself to the front of the stage. Now hear me out because this doesn’t make sense, but people actually will either pity you and let you slide in front of them. I think this has to do with your width x height and the fact that it will not mess with their vision of the show. You can also ninja your way through the gaps in the crowd, which I lovingly refer to as “air pockets.” It’s quite simple really.
Either way I ended up maneuvering myself to the left front of the stage by the end of the show, and let me just say that KOL really brought it this time.
Here’s the set list.
Crawl
My Party
Razz
Molly’s Chambers
Taper Jean Girl
Sex on Fire
Be Somebody
Fans
Revelry
Milk
Four Kicks
The Bucket
Use Somebody
On Call
Closer
Cold Desert
Slow Night, So Long
Encore
Knocked Up
Manhattan
Charmer
Printable Wireframe Graph Paper
October 01st, 2008 | Category: Uncategorized
I know if your a designer your always on the lookout for the right paper/journal to sketch your ideas on. So thought this was nice of Konigi to release these free printable graph papers. Made for visual designers, interaction designers, and information architects. You’ll find styles for wireframing user interfaces, story boarding interaction, and plotting values on a two by two grid. Plus you’ll get a basic grid for drafting sitemaps or anything else that might come up.

They are also great for sketching and easily scanned. The PDF docs are formatted for 8.5″ x 11″ paper. They are free to use, but may not be distributed for commercial purposes without permission.
They also have a OmniGraffle UX template for User Experience Designers with formats you’ll need most for interface and interaction design. This requires the Professional version of OmniGraffle.

Light-Paint Piano Player from Ryan Cashman on Vimeo.
This is a really neat piece by Ryan Cashman. He recorded/wrote the music first, then photographed each frame. The awesome thing is he only used a small green LED keychain light to draw each of the frames and then brought them into After Effects to create this.

Love the new song by KOL and can’t wait to see them in October. I’ll also be seeing Ryan Adams at the beginning of that month, so lets just say October is officially an all around great month for music. Enjoy!
